On occasion of independance day i.e. 15th august 2011, a tree plantation program was undertaken by NSS unit of Babasaheb Naik College Of Engg., Pusad in college campus itself. this was the second time in this session i.e in 2011-12 tree plantation program is conducted. Firstly it was conducted at chinatamani temple,pusad at the beggining of monsoon and secondly at independance day. |

A tree plantation program at road side area, beside the new Univerity building, Ganpat Vidyanagar Campus on 12-08-2011 with 51 volunteers of NSS. Around more than 200 trees were planted in this area. A speech was delivered on the importance of Trees in today’s world problem of “Global Worming” by Shri Ashwinbhai Patel, Krishi Vignan Kendra, Kherva.

MEGA TREE PLANTATION PROGRAMME
The NSS unit -2 of Govt. First Grade College organised Mega Tree Plantation programme in joint auspice of State NSS cell, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and Lions clubs International Dist. 324 D6, on 03-09-2011 at Panchavati- Dhyanagiri beside Nandi Hills of CHickballapur.
Apart from the Volunteers of our college Volunteers of the neighbouring Colleges around the Taluk joined programme. A total No. of One Thousand one hundren twenty students took part in the Mega tree plantation programme.
Each Volunteer has been given the target of planting five saplings. The volunteers themselves dug the pit and planted the alloted plants. In total more than 5000 plants have been planted in a day.
The programme was inaugurated by the Renowned environmentalist SALU MARADA THIMMAKKA.
His Holiness Dr. Sri Sri Sri Govinda theertha Swamiji of Panchavati Ashrama blessed the volunteers on the occassion.
Mr. K.V.KHADRI NARASIMAIAH, HEAD, NSS REGIONAL CENTER, BANGALORE, DR. K.B.DHANANJAYA, STATE LIAISON OFFICER, NSS CELL, MINISTRY OF YOUTH AFFAIRS, GOVT. OF KARTNATAKA were the chicf Guests.
Lion S. Ramachandran Dist. Governor, Lions International District 324 D6 and Lion Bhadrachalam District Chair Person Tree Plantation were the special Invitees.
VanaShree Umesh National Awardee and Mr. Anand Gumpumara District Secretary of parisara Samrakashana Vedike were the Guests of Honour.

AS a part of the VANMOHATSAV of gujarat goverament , Our NSS unit Organised a plantation program in the college campus. More then 50 volunteers participated on plantation day and celebrate it and 60 trees are planted by them. 250 more trees are planted planted at utter buniyade kanya ashram shcool ( Cond. by.bhil seva mandal) at Dahod dist.
Other program regarding to social activities, our volunteer celebration Rakshabandan with BLIND STUDENT by the help of lions club dahod at Blind school which organized by blind welfare. |
