S Unnikrishnan took class on the importance to protect our Environment. The Function was ianugurated by Block Panchayath Member Sri. T K Paul. Principal JAcob John, NSS Programme Officer Binu K VArghese, Vadavucode Ward Member Smt. Shiny Shaji, PTA President Sri M N Govindankutty, NSS Volunteers Kumari Asna T A, Kumari Arya Mary Jolly also spoke on this occassion. DFO & our esteemed guests handled over saplings to all students and DFO planted the first tree NELLI (Emblica officinalis). We got permission from Panchayath authorities to plant tress in the panchayath ground and also at G L P Schools in Vadavucode Panchayath.

FAIQUA FOUNDATION 21-05-2013 G-1-374 DAAL MILL ROAD UTTAM NAGAR NEW DELHI 110059 INDIA In the year 2012-13 Faiqua Foundation planted 200 plants in Uttam Nagar, New Delhi locality from its own resources. Besides that foundation has distributed 100 flower pots with flower plants to the residents to keep them infront of their houses for the beautification and good fragrance of the locality. Now Faiqua Foundation is determined for the cleanliness of the area. We are sprinkling pesticide in the drainage system to free the locality from the mosquito.

Lovely Professional University 13-05-2013 Jalandhar - Delhi G.T. Road (NH-1), Phagwara, Punjab (India) - 144411 Understanding the urgency of human role to be played towards preservation of natural resources for prosperous life of future generations on the Earth, LPU’s NSS Volunteers under the aegis of Community Service Cell organized two-day “Earth Day Festival-2013.” It was held in collaboration with an international NGO ‘Earth Day Network’ (Washington DC USA). Earth Day Network works on environmental issues across the globe with over 22,000 partners. The chief guest of the day was LPU’s Director General Er HR Singla. He delivered an inspiring message by inviting students to be great protectors of the earth: “We are bound together by an equal love for seas, mountains, fields, forests, air etc which chiefly compose this majestic Earth. All of these require great care, maintenance and attention. We should live in a great relationship with our planet ‘Earth’, as we are totally dependent on its resources for nourishment, shelter as well as wealth. Let us aspire to be protectors rather than destroyers of this earth. ” On this occasion, activities included art show under the theme ‘Face of Climate Change, unraveling of Earth Symbol, tree plantation, Skit, Rally and Earth Day Symbol Creation by NSS Volunteers. Inspiring Seminars, Movie, Quiz, Dance by ABDC Dance Group and performances by Rooh Band of the University students added brilliance to the organization. The focus through these activities was to grasp how climate change has affected us and what human force is doing to be a great part of solution towards it. As such, constituting schedule of the great celebration let LPU students awakened about their duties to mother Earth. 3R Project
